Family Planning Services
Haywood County Health and Human Services provides voluntary and confidential family planning services to females and males of childbearing age, including teens.
Appointments are required except for emergency contraception.
Call 828-452-6675 to make an appointment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, with evening clinic hours available the second Thursday of each month by appointment. Interpreter services are available at no cost.
When you come to your appointment, bring:
- Proof of identification.
- Proof of income (income is determined by gross income prior to tax deductions).
- It’s helpful if you can fill out the demographics form and Patient History Form in advance and bring them with you as well. These forms are also available upon arrival.
The family planning clinic provides services and education materials funded, in part, by Title X. Cost is based on a sliding fee scale, based on your family size and income. No one is denied services because of inability to pay. All forms of Medicaid are accepted. Some private insurances are also accepted. Call for details.
Haywood County Health and Human Services does not discriminate based on age, race, color, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex characteristics, number of pregnancies, marital status, or national origin.
Interpreter services are available at no cost.
