  1. Reading is Snow Much Fun! Youth Winter Reading Challenge 2021

    January 1, 2021 - March 1, 2021

    Winter Reading Challenge January & February Set your sights to explore & learn - earn points & free books! Join the Winter Reading Challenge for ages 1-17, beginning January 1. Log your reading for school and/or pleasure while earning points. Earn 25 points for reading a chapter book and 10 points for a picture book. Reach 200 points to receive a free book pick and certificate. Keep reading to 500 points for another free book pick! Keep track of what you read with READsquared online at haywoodlibrary.readsquared.com. A paper log can also be picked up at either branch.   4. Seed Lending Library Opens

    March 1, 2021, 9:00 AM - July 1, 2021, 9:00 AM

    The Seed Library of Waynesville, located in the upper floor of the Waynesville Library opens March 1st and remains open until all seeds are gone. We offer up to 10 free seed packets to anyone with an NC Cardinal Library card. Library hours are 9-1, M-F. Check out our inventory at https://www.haywoodlibrary.org/670/Waynesville-Seed-Library-Canton-Giving-G. The Seed Library welcomes seed donations that are clearly marked with name and variety, and your contact information.
