[ARCHIVED] Applicants Sought for Tourism Development Authority Board

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on the Tourism Development Authority Board.

The positions are for representatives from the following types of businesses:

  • 1 seat representing a tourism-related business
  • 1 seat representing accommodations with 20 units or less

The tourism-related vacancy is for a three-year term that will run from January 4th, 2023 - December 31, 2025.

The accommodations vacancy is for a two-year term that will run from January 4th - December 31, 2024.  (This is a partial term due to 1 board member leaving their seat early.)

The deadline for applications is Monday, December 12, 2022 at 5 p.m.

Application forms may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the county website at https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Historic Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville. Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Amy Stevens, Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at amy.stevens@haywoodcountync.gov
