[ARCHIVED] Notice of Public Hearing - Amendments to Multiple Ordinances Monday, June 20, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.

TAKE NOTICE that the Haywood County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. during the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners in the Historic Courtroom of the Haywood County Historic Courthouse located at 215 North Main Street, Waynesville, North Carolina.

 The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments concerning proposed amendments to the following in the County of Haywood, North Carolina Code of Ordinances:

           Title I              Chapter 10                General Provisions

          Title III             Chapter 30                Departments, Boards and Commissions

          Title V             Chapter 51                 Reimbursement Agreements

          Title IX            Chapter 91                 Animal Services

Title IX            Chapter 93                 Mobile Homes (repeal is proposed)

Title IX            Chapter 94                 911 Services (repeal is proposed)

Copies of the proposed amendments are available for public inspection on the Public Information page of the Haywood County website at https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/163/Public-Information, in the Office of the Clerk to the Board located in the Haywood County Historic Courthouse at 215 N. Main St., Waynesville, and at the main Haywood County Public Library located at 678 South Haywood St., Waynesville. 

Persons wishing to be heard at the public hearing are asked to be present. The County Commissioners may adopt reasonable rules governing the conduct of the hearing including (i) fixing the maximum time allotted to each speaker, (ii) providing for the designation of spokesmen for groups of persons supporting or opposing the same position, (iii) providing for the selection of delegates from groups of persons supporting or opposing the same positions when the number of persons wishing to attend the hearing exceeds the capacity of the hall, and (iv) providing for the maintenance of order and decorum in the conduct of the hearing.
