Seeking Applicants for Home and Community Care Block Grant and Aging Planning Committee

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill three vacancies on the Haywood County Home and Community Care Block Grant and Aging Planning Committee.

 The committee meets quarterly at 1 pm on the third Thursday of January, April, July and October at Haywood County Health and Human Services.  (Note:  meeting format may be affected by COVID safety concerns.) The committee serves as an advisory board for the planning, coordination, and distribution of block grant funds among providers who deliver services and programs for aging adults.  For more information, visit: https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/759/Home-and-Community-Care-Block-Grant-and- .

 The Volunteer Board Applicant Form may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the county website https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I  or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville.  

Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Amy Stevens, Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at amy.stevens@haywoodcountync.gov .
