[ARCHIVED] Notice of Public Hearing - Application for a New Wireless Telecommunication Facility 10/19/2020

TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Commissioners of Haywood County will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the Historic Courtroom of the Haywood County Historic Courthouse at 215 N. Main Street, Waynesville, North Carolina.  The purpose of the hearing is to consider an application for a new wireless telecommunication facility, located off Arrington Acres Drive, Waynesville (23/74 in Balsam Area) on PIN 7694-76-6033 owned by Brandi Carol Mehaffey.               

The facility will provide internet services.  The facility will have an 8 foot microwave dish mounted on a post with total height of approximately 8 feet.  There is no tower associated with this facility.

Persons wishing to be heard at the public hearing are asked to be present.  The Haywood County Board of Commissioners may adopt reasonable rules governing the conduct of the hearing including (i) fixing the maximum time allotted to each speaker, (ii) providing for the designation of spokesmen for groups of persons supporting or opposing the same position, (iii) providing for the selection of delegates from groups of persons supporting or opposing the same positions when the number of person wishing to attend the hearing exceeds the capacity of the hall, and (iv) providing for the maintenance of order and decorum in the conduct of the hearing.
