[ARCHIVED] Haywood County launches new web site

On January 31st, the new website took its place as the primary means for county departments to communicate with the citizens they serve. "We are excited to present a soft launch of the new site, and can't wait to hear the community feedback" says Lori Tomlin, Director of Technology and Communications for the county. The site will remain intact as county staff works diligently to move existing content to the new site. Visitors will notice several new features that continue to roll out over the next several months.

One such change is the ability to sign up to receive emails when particular information is posted to the website. Using the Notify Me® module, site visitors can receive an email when employment opportunities, latest news, foreclosure sales, board and committee agendas, or events are published.

Another upcoming change will greatly assist applicants who seek to work for Haywood County. An entirely new workflow will be added which allow prospective employees to not only be notified when a job posting as been published, but they will also now be able to apply for jobs online and check the status of their applications.

We encourage you to come back routinely to the new site and look for new and exciting features.
