During this time of vigilance and social distancing due to COVID-19, Haywood County Health and Human Services Agency is continuing to make Economic Services available to the public.  Here are some ways you can apply for services such as Medicaid, Food and Nutrition (food stamps) or Work First/Benefit Diversion.

• Call 828-452-6620: Tell the receptionist you want to apply by phone
• You can request an application to be sent to your address with a Postage Paid envelope attached to be mailed back.

• Go Online to https://www.ncdhhs.gov/assistance/low-income-services/food-nutrition-services-food-stamps.

Services for Adults remain in place.  Existing Meals on Wheels participants will continue to receive services.  Reports to Adult Protective Services should contact the agency at 828-452-6620.
