During North Carolina’s State of Emergency declared by Governor Cooper in response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Haywood County Health and Human Services Agency will remain committed to serving people in need of Public Assistance. Most all Public Assistance requests or issues with current assistance can be resolved using online resources, the mail or telephone. Due to public concerns regarding the risk of contracting the virus from other persons, we encourage concerned citizens needing assistance to take advantage of the online application system known as ePass or apply for services by mail or telephone.
