The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to serve a one-year term on the 2026 Board of Equalization and Review (BOER).
The purpose of the BOER is to hear appeals to the value placed on real property and any appeal relating to personal property and discovered property for tax year 2026. The BOER will hear appeals based on a meeting schedule established by the Board of Commissioners. The BOER has five vacancies, and appointees receive financial compensation for their time. More information about the BOER can be found at: https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/251/Board-of-Equalization-Review.
