The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) located at the HCC High Tech Center, 112 Industrial Park Drive in Waynesville, will officially close on March 29, 2025. In its place, a Helene Recovery Center will open in the same location to continue assisting residents affected by Hurricane Helene.

The center will provide a dedicated Disaster Case Manager and ongoing Individual Assistance from the State of North Carolina. There will also be NC Emergency Management case managers, State Individual Assistance representatives, and FEMA Individual Assistance personnel available to assist residents. This transition ensures that residents continue to receive the necessary support as they recover from the storm’s impacts.

The center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, starting March 31, 2025, and will remain in operation until April 25, 2025.
