It's that time of year again when we gear up for property tax listing. This year, community members will be able to list their property at 3 different locations.
Locations Include:
1. Haywood County Historic Courthouse
215 N. Main Street, Suite 220, Waynesville, NC
Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM
2. Haywood County Public Library, Waynesville Branch
678 S Haywood Street, Waynesville, NC
Fridays from 9 AM – 11 AM and from 12 PM – 4:30 PM
3. Haywood County Public Library, Canton Branch
11 Pennsylvania Avenue, Canton, NC
Tuesdays from 1 PM – 4:30 PM
The deadline for form submission is January 31st so don't miss the boat! Make sure to return your listing forms by January 31st to avoid penalties. A late submission will incur a penalty unless you file for an extension.
Don't Forget to Report Changes:
-If you've bought, sold, or gotten rid of any personal property during the year, please let us know. Accurate listings help us ensure fair taxation for everyone in Haywood County.
Extension Information:
-If you need more time, we've got you covered! You can request an extension to submit your listing forms but act fast! The extension request must be submitted in writing and filed by January 31st to be approved. The extended deadline for submission with an approved extension is April 15th. You can request an extension in our office located in the historic courthouse in Waynesville.
