[ARCHIVED] Applicants Sought for Two TDA Board Vacancies

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on the Tourism Development Authority Board.

The first vacancy is for one individual representing accommodations of 20 units or less. Once appointed, the individual will be fulfilling an unexpired term that ends on December 31, 2024, at which point they will be eligible for reappointment to a full three-year term. Any eligible individuals who applied but were not selected for the vacancy for 20 units or less that was posted in November and closes on December 1 will have their applications rolled over for consideration in this current vacancy.

The second vacancy is for one individual representing accommodations of 20 units or more. Once appointed, the individual will be fulfilling an unexpired term that ends on December 31, 2024, at which point they will be eligible for reappointment to a full three-year term.

The deadline for applications is Friday, January 5, 2024 at 5 p.m.

Application forms may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the County website at  https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I  or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Historic Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville. 

Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Haven Muse, Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at   haven.muse@haywoodcountync.gov.
