North Carolina has enacted the Extra Credit Grand Program, administered by the NCDOR, designed to help families with qualifying children pay for virtual schooling and child-care costs during the COVID-19 pandemic with with a $335 payment.
The grant payment is for individuals with a dependent child who was 16 or younger at the end of 2019. North Carolinians who file a tax return reporting a qualifying child will get the payment automatically.
