
This program is where fresh starts begin.
We assist you with obtaining and maintaining sobriety. We also will assist you with mental and physical health needs. We help you as a whole person begin to secure the life that you are worthy of having.
The AARC Program is:
- A post-plea program
- Voluntary
- Individualized for at least 24 months
If you qualify legally and clinically for the AARC Program:
1 Your criminal case will be placed on the Recovery Court docket for plea into the program
2. You will be immediately referred for an assessment t o determine the level of treatment you will need to start, have the option of medication treatment, and be supervised by the probation office
3 Upon completion of the AARC Program, your charges will be dismissed
In the AARC program, you will:
1 Meet with the Judge regularly
2. Complete substance abuse and/or mental health treatment
3. Attend evidence-based educational programming to improve life skills
4. Work on educational goals, such as GED, community college, or job training
5. Secure gainful employment
6. Begin to repair family relationships
PROGRAMMING:
The Haywood County Adult Accountability & Recovery Court Program is comprised of five phases, which are progressive steps in which vour performance and progress are monitored by the Court.
Rewards to reinforce vour positive behavior is part of the Recovery Court process, but there are also sanctions that are given if necessary. You can receive a sanction if vou are not following the rules of the program.
